Mandatory masks starting on Monday, November 15th

Jackson County has gone back to a Covid Advisory level of Orange. Starting on Monday, November 15th, we will be back to mandatory masking for all students, staff, and visitors to all SCSC buildings as long as we are in an Orange or Red Advisory level. Please make sure that your child comes to school with a mask to properly wear (covering mouth and nose) for the school day. Just a reminder, per CDC mandate, all students who ride a school bus are required at all times while on the school bus to wear a mask.

Please make sure that your child's Chromebook is charged before they come to school every day. We are having students who are arriving at school not prepared for the start of the school day because their Chromebooks are not charged. Teachers do not have extra Chromebook chargers in their classrooms and charging them during class time is a distraction to the class day.

Cortland Eagles Basketball

The Cortland Eagles had a good season. Every player showed growth throughout the season contributing in one way or another and learned to play as a team. We are super proud of the boys.

Thank you to Coach Matt Levine for working with our boys throughout the season.

Cortland Lady Eagles Volleyball Team

The elementary volleyball program made its comeback after 14 years. This year Cortland's 5th-grade volleyball team completed a 6 week season. The team learned many things including the basic rules of the game, passing form, and serving technique. Over the course of the season, several players were able to develop and demonstrate their overhand serve. This was a huge accomplishment! Some favorites from the season were 1. Drills like Two Touches and Dead Fish. 2. Snack time at practice (ha) 3. Winning 1 set over Jackson, Brown, and St. Ambrose. This introductory season taught each player the meaning of teamwork and sportsmanship. We may not have always won, but we sure had fun trying. Go Eagles!
