Summer 2021 Edition

Big picture

PROCEDURE FOR RETURNING CHROMEBOOKS & CHARGERS & HOTSPOTS

Unlike last summer when everyone kept their devices, this year we are requiring ALL chromebooks and hotspots be returned for the summer. This will enable our Tech Team to examine, clean, repair, allocate and if necessary, replace chromebooks so that your children will have their devices available to them at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. If it is determined that your child will be issued a brand new device for the upcoming school year, you will be contacted to sign a form electronically.

Lehigh Valley Academy will be providing all students with chromebooks and will no longer allow students to bring their own devices to school (BYOD).

Please note that all of the chromebooks and hotspots that were distributed to students for their use these past 18 months remain the property of Lehigh Valley Academy. Any chromebooks and hotspots that are not returned at the end of the school year will be disabled, which will make them unusable. You may be invoiced for a device that is not returned and/or a missing charger. If your child’s chromebook was issued to your child in a case, please make sure that the case is returned, as well. (Depending on age and model of chromebook you may be invoiced $250 per device, $25 per charger, $15 for the case and $60 for a hotspot, if not they are not returned.)
