FROM THE DESK OF MS. TAYLOR AND MR. RODRIGUEZ
Hello ESTLA Families,
Spring has sprung and the weather is starting to provide a taste of what is to come. Spring sports are in full swing. With the arrival of Spring and better weather, we wanted to promote the opportuniy for our families to walk to and from school with students. This will give you the opportunity to share some time discussing school, friends and promoting healthy habits! The warmer weather and draw of the outdoors increases the temptation for students to respond in energetic ways. Please remind our children to be thoughtful in their choices at school and in the community.
The month of April is dedicated to Math Awareness, Financial Literacy, and National Library Week! April is also the Islamic Holy Month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, introspection, and charitable works. World Autism Day is recognized on April 2nd.
As you know, we have entered our fourth and final marking period of year. Please continue to encourage our students to make an effort to seek out teachers if they need additional support Or if they need clarity on a concept. REMINDER--you can sit with your students and review grades, assignments, projects and homework through Schoology. Simply look at the your Childs' Schoology page on their Chromebook.
PLEASE DO NOT drop students off in the middle of the street or across the street. YOU CAN ONLY DROP STUDENTS OFF IN THE LOOP (Picture and diagram below). The cars traveling the street in front of our school (Coolidge and Markley) do not always stop nor follow the designated speed limit.

Girls Exploring Tomorrow’s Technology (GETT) began in Chester County, Pennsylvania in 2001 as a response to the under-representation of young women in the computer and information technology fields. Since that time, GETT has expanded its geographical footprint to include students from all around Southeastern Pennsylvania and now showcases the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
GETT is an initiative of the Innovative Technology Action Group (ITAG), a program under the Chester County Economic Development Council, and is driven by the volunteer efforts of numerous public, private and educational organizations, along with public and private investments.
