Hello Jackson Families!

It may be Friday the 13th, but it was the culmination of a good week at Jackson! Our students were able to have some fun outside today during Jackson's Field Day! Students participated in challenge games with the coaches, took turns competing on an inflatable obstacle course, and signed yearbooks when they weren't outside! Big thanks to our coaches, PTA, all of the volunteers and our staff for putting together this awesome event. A special shout-out goes to the Gallegos family who donated the inflatable obstacle course.

Jackson Fourth and Fifth grade students successfully completed Reading and Math STAAR testing this week--whoo-hoo! There will be more STAAR testing next week and our campus will be closed to visitors on the following days:

Monday, May 16 - 5th Grade Science STAAR

Tuesday, May 17 - 3rd Grade Reading STAAR

Wednesday, May 18 - 3rd Grade Math STAAR

You can help ensure a successful testing experience by making sure your child is rested, eats a nutritious breakfast and arrives at school on time. This is a chance for our students to show what they have learned, and I know they will shine!

We need your help with planning for next year! Please take a moment to complete the Parent/Family Interest Survey below. Results will be discussed at our next SBIC (Site Based Improvement Committee) meeting.

Thank you and enjoy the warm weather this weekend!
