Morning Drop off
I was able to be out for morning drop off last Friday. Everything ran very smoothly. No one parked along the cars sideway or parked by the Horning doors. All pulled up, dropped off kids and then pulled away. It went very smoothly. This unfortunately is not always the case. Some are not following the proper procedures and this is causing a very dangerous situation.
Sadly, I have had a number of parents call to tell me they have seen either their child or another child almost hit by a car because of those who are not following directions.
Please follow the procedures. You may not park in any location other than a parking spot. If there are no spots left, please park in a legal spot on the street and walk your child up if you are not comfortable dropping them off.
I wish I could be outside daily to monitor the traffic but due to meeting many mornings I can not be there. I am asking for the safety of all of our children that you follow the procedures we have in place. If you have any questions, please feel free to call. Thanks.

Holiday Treasures Gift Shop Dec. 4-6
The Holiday Treasures Gift Shop will be in the Innovation Station Dec. 4-6. It will feature a wide selection of reasonably-priced items (most gifts are under $5) that your child can shop for their loved ones. We help them shop and even gift wrap the items for free to keep it a surprise.

Santa is coming to Banting!
Santa will be dropping by Banting on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.! Visit with Santa in the library, then allow your child to shop at the holiday shop during our evening hours. Hot cocoa and cookies will be available for purchase. Families are welcome to take pictures with Santa; please bring your own camera.
Fall catalog fund raiser order pick up Dec. 10
Thank you to everyone who participated in the fall catalog fund raiser! Orders can be picked up in the Innovation Station on Monday, Dec. 10 between 3:45 – 6:00 p.m. If you are unable to make this pick up time and would prefer to make alternative arrangements, please contact Meghan Parsche at bantingelementarypto@gmail.com.
Holiday Shopping made EASY
Get your holiday shopping done while supporting Banting at the same time!
· Buy movie gift cards for that hard-to-shop-for person through the Marcus Movie Ticket Fundraiser. Orders are due Dec. 3 and will be sent home with students by the end of the week of Dec. 10.
· Participate in the staff holiday gift card order. Use the form that was sent home to tell us how much you would like to give to the teachers and staff on the list. We let teachers and staff know how much we collected in their name, and they choose a gift card from Scrip. Staff holiday gift card orders are due Dec. 4.
· Gift an item from the Teacher Giving Tree. If you would like to gift items that teachers need for their classrooms this holiday season, you can grab an item off of the Teacher Giving tree, which will be located in the main entryway.
· Place a Scrip order by Dec. 12. Place one order for all of your gift card needs, and we send it home to you. Learn more at shopwithscrip.com.
· Have a night of kid-free shopping on Dec. 15. Drop the kids off at Banting’s Parents’ Night Out at American Dojo on Dec. 15 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for fun and pizza. For ages 4-12. Register and pay online by visiting http://bit.ly/pnobanting.
Thank you for making our Election Day Bake Sale a success!
Thanks to the incredible volunteers who baked treats and volunteered during the Election Day Bake Sale, it was a huge success, raising $1,126! It was great to be out in the community hearing how much people know and love our school!
