2016-17 Technology Cohort
Windham Exempted Village Schools is currently participating in a technology cohort partnership with Epiphany Management Group. Seven teachers within the district were chosen to take part in a blended learning professional development opportunity. Teachers participating are: Brenda Isler, Allison Baranski, Sarita Slone, Kim Workman, Tamara Brown, Tate Moore and Eliot Pennell.
Google Classroom
All junior and senior high teachers, as well as some elementary teachers are currently integrating the Google Classroom platform into their curriculum. Teachers are able to post materials, assignments, announcements and discussion questions to allow for anytime, anywhere learning.
Achieve 3000
Seventh grader, Kaleb Beckwith, recently scored the highest in the world using the reading program Achieve 3000! This program can be accessed online and delivers customized articles to students at their individual reading levels. Comprehension and writing skills are honed and reading levels are adjusted monthly based on student achievement.
App Design with Mrs. Smith
Mrs. Smith currently has students working to design an app that will assist students and parents in more easily navigating the school website.

Staying up to date with class text alerts on Remind
Many teachers throughout the district are using Remind.com to alert both parents and students about what's happening in their classrooms. The video above explains how easy it is to join Remind in order to start receiving alerts. Teacher sign-up codes are available here.
Checking your child's grades online
1. Get gradebook login information from school guidance counselors, Rose Gainard (Windham Junior/Senior High School) or Andrea Urso (Katherine Thomas Elementary).
(If you already have an account, the login is the same. If you forget your login information, email guidance counselors.)
2. Go to www.windham-schools.org.
3. On left menu, click "Home Access Center (HAC).
4. Choose "Windham Exempted Village" next to "Select a District."
5. Type login information and click "Login."

YouTube Producers in Balchick's Bomber Time
Students in Mrs. Balchick's Bomber Time elective, "The History of Rock and Roll," recently produced YouTube videos that required them to share life events and also find music that would appropriately complement those events.
