Alexander Martin

Was born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey in 1740 to James Hugh Martin and Jane Hunter of Ireland, And was moved to North Carolina shortly after his birth.


Martin held both bachelor's and master's degrees from Princeton University (The College of New Jersey), making him one of the most intellectual delegates to the Constitutional Convention


Involvement in the Constitutional Convention

Alex ran a bit late in Philly, and didn't contribute to the actual signing but seconded two major notions. He was 46.

After Constitutional Convention

Stepping down, he took a permanent seat at The North Carolina Government, and lived out the rest of his life.

He was born 1740 and he died in 1807

He died at 66.
