Ranger Round Up!
News to Know
The mission of Darby Middle School is to empower all students to grow and learn with a mindset of a Ranger.
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello Again!
We are looking forward to seeing your families at parent-teacher conferences this week!
Kids and teens do better in school when parents get involved. Attending parent-teacher conferences is one way to be involved and help your child succeed. This upcoming week you have a great opportunity to learn about your student's progress here at school. It is also an opportunity for you to share with our teachers about your student's strengths, needs, behaviors and learning styles.
Conferences will be held on Monday, October 18th and Thursday, October 21st from 3:30-6:30 pm. Report cards will be distributed these evenings by your student's third period advisory teacher. After you get your student's report card you are welcome to talk to any or all of the teachers you want. Core content teachers (math, science, social studies, English) will be located in the cafeteria. Elective teachers will be set up in our new Health Science Academy wing. The new media center will be open for parents to see and learn about the many things we have to offer at Darby. There will be student mentors available to help you find teachers and navigate the building.
If you would like a virtual option for conferences please contact teachers directly by emailing them to set up a time. All teacher emails can be found using the staff directory on our website.
Thank you for helping your child be as successful as possible at Darby Middle School! Your partnership makes a difference!

NO SCHOOL- FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22ND!
A little preparation improves parent-teacher conferences
Your student may be a teen, but that doesn't mean you should stop having parent-teacher conferences. Teaming up with the teachers always benefits your student. For the best results, plan ahead. Ask your teen if he has any concerns. Then, list things you want to discuss with the teacher, such as changes at home, your teen's strengths and interests, his progress, and ways you can help him with schoolwork.
