Welcome back to a very different school year!
In US History 2, I have spent a lot of time learning and experimenting with things to keep my class as "normal" as possible, even when we can't be together. I am still encouraging conversations, group work, analysis, and fun. We are primarily utilizing Microsoft Teams as our "classroom". Here your students will find everything they need to be successful - from assignments to pdf of texts to way to contact me and each other. Everything is streamlined here as their one stop shop for all things US 2.
We spent the first week playing around with some feature and other programs to help this platform become their new normal for this class. I can say that your students have been enthusiastic and welcomed this new challenge with open arms and although we are not together in person, it still feels like we are. I applaud them for taking the risk, challenging themselves, and in turn learning a skill that will help them for the rest of their lives - resiliency!
I thank you for being supportive, understanding, and available as we navigate these waters together. Without your help, this would be next to impossible. So cheers to you all as well!

Class Schedules and daily procedures
- Block 1 - US History 2 CP [8:30 - 9:30am]
- Block 2 - PREP [no class held]
- Block 3 - AP US History 2 [10:40-11:40am]
- Block 4 - AP US History 2 [11:45-12:45pm]
- OFFICE HOURS/EXTRA HELP - [12:45-2pm]
Please remind your student to join the meeting at the start of class and remain until teacher dismissal.
Within the first 10 minutes, students should be logged into our call and have answered the "Morning Check In" that is posted to the chat within our call
Students should have mic off and camera on while joining the call
If student wants to contribute or ask a question, they may do so, but should return to being muted once done speaking
Please try to limit distractions while on call, however I know they may occur. Students should feel free to get up, stretch, use the bathroom, but be mindful to do it quickly - as we will not stop for them.
All work will be posted under the "Assignment" tab in our Team. Work should be submitted, but clicking "Turn in" on the assignment page.
Please encourage your student to seek help when it is needed and not to wait until they are very overwhelmed. Without seeing your student face to face, communication is VITAL.
Students will be dismissed by me once they have completed their Exit Ticket posted to the chat or I have verbally told them "see ya later"
