Civil Rights Leader
Martin Luther King Jr.
An Amazing Man
Marin Luther King Jr. was seen as the most influential leaders of the civil rights movement, and was also one of the big reasons that we have civil rights. Unlike Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr. believed in non-violent protest, and he didn't want any segregation between any races. He believed that everyone was equal and that we shouldn't judge people by the color of their skin, but by their character. Martin Luther King Jr. is best known by his "I Have A Dream" speech, which had a huge impact on the civil rights movement. But then on the tragic day of April 4, 1968, he was shot by James Earl Ray. With Martin Luther King Jr. assassinated, it caused major race riots in most countries, and helped the civil rights movement even more. So even in death, Mr. King helped the civil rights movement.
