West News Update

May 2019

Walk-a-Thon is May 10th

The annual school fundraiser, the Walk-A-Thon, will take place May 10th (weather permitting). This is the only school-wide fundraiser that West holds. The funds go toward student incentives, field trips, academic awards and allow us to continue to expand the opportunities at West for students.

We need student participation to make this a success. To participate students purchase a pass for $5. During this time they walk, listen to music, spend time with friends. A $10 pass will give them a hot dog, chips, and soda.

There will be other items for sale including ice cream, cookies, pizza, churros, candy on the walk way. Students will need additional cash for these items.

If you are able to help as a chaperone, please contact the school. Providing funds for activities for your student to participate on this day will be a great benefit. Thank you for your support!

West students have an exciting opportunity this summer. BSU and the Idaho Transportation Department are hosting a week long summer program focused on STEM for students in Canyon County in grades 6 and 7, (7th and 8th in 2019-2020 school year). More information will be coming your way. In the meantime, check out this website.
