1965
Pink Floyd is officially founded.
1966
Pink Floyd began receiving paid bookings. The most important was at the Marquee Club, where Peter Jenner noticed them. Jenner and his business partner, Andrew King, became their managerial team after this. Additionally, King, who was very rich, ended up investing around 1000 euros into the band, buying them vital instruments and sound equipment.
1967
Pink Floyd's music began to hit the mainstream, attracting the attention of the record label EMI, with whom Pink Floyd later signed.
Late 1967
EMI-Columbia released The Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
The album peaked at number 6 and stayed on the charts for a respectable 14 weeks.
1968
Barrett leaves the band due to disagreements about his LSD usage.
1973
Pink Floyd recorded and released The Dark Side of the Moon.
