R-E-C-Y-C-L-E, Begins with Us!

APRIL 30,2015

Dear Parents,

Our investigation has sparked the childrens' curiosity. It has offered the children the opportunity to learn more about trash and garbage, where it comes from, and why it can be a problem. This week we discussed ways in which we would be reducing the amount of waste produced by society. We talked and watched videos in order to see how the recycling centers work and how old material recycled turns into new and useful material. Throughout our investigation we are exploring important concepts and strenghtening their skills in literacy, math, and the arts.

TIP OF THE WEEK

Let your child’s imagination loose as he/she creates something new made from recycled material!! Let your child have access to any household material that you might not need or use anymore. Have it available for him/her to reuse and transform into a bright new object!! Get your child to tell you in English about their unique creation.
