WEEK ENDING IN 05/13/2022
Dear OSES Families,
Our annual school yearbook has arrived. There are still a few copies available for purchase. The yearbook captures the school year beautifully. Thank you to everyone who contributed to it.
The school year ends on Wednesday, May 25th. Over the next few weeks of school, students will continue to be engaged with STEM activities, participate in ceremonies, have celebrations, and more. As we have in the past, students are encouraged not to bring backpacks from home the last week, or three days, of school. Please coordinate with your student’s teacher on getting items home from the classroom.
OSES has already started planning for the upcoming school year. While we accomplished a lot this school year, we look forward to resuming many programs and events that were not possible this year.
Have a great weekend!

MATH COMPETITION
Math Club/Competition Team
The Monday and Friday 2nd/3rd Grade Math Clubs explored geometry this week with Quivervision. On Friday, some of the students will also receive their ribbons and medals from the Noetic Math Competition. Check back next week to see pictures and updates about that math competition. It is important for all of our students to have access to STEM, including math competitions. The Monday and Friday math club were designed to increase the number of underrepresented students in STEM/math competitions. So far, they have competed (and won) numerous competitions. We cannot wait to see how they continue their math journey next year! The results for the 3rd-5th Math Competition Team are below for the Noetic Math Competition. They will receive their items next week. The fourth grade team won the team plaque!!MATH INVITATIONAL
