WEST POINT MIDDLE SCHOOL
NEWS AROUND CAMPUS
From the Principal's Desk
Greetings Pointer Family,
It has been great meeting families during our Ice Cream Social and New Student Orientation. There were a lot of smiles and great conversations about our learning environment. We are excited to work with you and your child throughout the year. Continue to inform your child they will report to homeroom the first ten days of schools.
As September is on the horizon and the start of school is around our corner, there is a wonderful buzz in the air at West Point Middle School. We have had two weeks of positive energy as our teachers have arrived. They have been arranging their classrooms and learning with each other as they are in their final stage of preparation for an amazing school year. Our custodial staff has also been busy, putting a new shine on all of the floors.
Below you will find the supply list for each grade level. I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s smiling face on September 4th. Please note, that throughout the school year, I will be posting on Twitter the wonderful things that are taking place on our campus. Please follow me @JAMillner as another method to stay connected with our learning environment
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Millner

WHO'S NEW TO WPMS?
Greetings Pointer Family,
My name is Iesha Lee and I am excited to introduce myself as the new School Counselor for grades 6-9. As a native of Middlesex County, I am delighted to return to the area and work with my very first group of students! Prior to beginning my career with West Point Public Schools, I completed my Bachelors of Science in Psychology degree from Old Dominion University and relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia where I completed my Master of Education in Counselor Education degree. I love learning, hence I’m always looking for opportunities for growth and continued education.
As an educator, I believe that all students are unique individuals that possess the capability to learn, blossom, and be successful in a safe, collaborative, and equitable school environment. It is my goal to empower all students to reach their fullest potential through character development, advocacy, and socioemotional support. However, I know this is not possible through my efforts alone, but through the partnership of administrators, teachers, and families alike. I am very thankful for the opportunity to work with you and your family this school year as we support our future leaders! Go Pointers!
