Getting Back into a Routine

Greetings Everyone-

As we get back into the routine of school it is important to give ourselves a little grace during the first couple of weeks. From our perspective, our students seem well rested and ready to learn. Thank you parents and care-givers for getting them to school on time and making sure they are ready to learn.

This year we have some exciting new things happening. After a 4 year hiatus, The Science Museum of Minnesota is presenting outreach assemblies for our students in Greater Minnesota. This fall they will be presenting to our 5th science classes. The science museum researchers have explored the impact of invasive species on our streams and will teach our students about what we can do a as community to slow the spread of these species in our northern lakes and streams. Also, we are hoping to offer extended learning opportunities for our students. Look for more information soon.

Also, this fall at our Harvest Fest we will be focusing on pumpkins and apples. We have a "bumper" crop of apples and are looking forward to making some apple cider for the event. Our pumpkins are still growing and we hope they will be ready for the Sept. 29th event. We will continue to keep you updated.

Have you ever thought about working for our school? Currently we are still looking for para-professionals, playground supervisors and one special education teacher to complete our staffing needs. If you are interested or know anyone that would be interested please click on the button down below.

Have a Great Weekend!

Food is The Most Important School Supply
All classes at Bay View have a snack during their day at school. It's a good time for a brain break and supplies them with a boost of energy/focus to get through the day.

Often teachers are left suppling their classrooms with snacks for kids that forget to bring a snack, don't/unable to bring a snack or maybe they need an extra snack to get them through the day.

If you are looking for a good donation item for your kids school please consider donating some classroom snacks. Click HERE for an Amazon wishlist of snack ideas or an easy way to order classroom snack donations!
