World Literature 10 News
September 4, 2017
Greetings from Mrs. Batha
We've had a great first two weeks of school and our students are on their way to understanding the expectations World Literature 10. It's been a pleasure getting to know these students. They are excited and open to learning and we've been having fun getting to know each other.
I enjoyed meeting many of our families at Open House and I wanted to reiterate to all of our families and guardians that I am always available to speak with you regarding any concerns or questions. It is best to contact me by email (m.batha@laschools.net) for the quickest response.
I maintain a small teacher website that has information of interest to both parents and students. You can find my website at http://www.mrsbathasclassroom.com For daily lesson plans, students can check https://planbook.com/planbook.html?t=984645&k=batha Handouts for the class are found on Schoology, our online learning management system.
PSAT Information
The PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 25 at LAHS. There are no classes held on that day. Sophomores are mandated to take the exam and the state of New Mexico pays for the exam. Taking the PSAT in the sophomore year helps identify our students with AP potential and students who may be eligible for college scholarships. All sophomores are pre-registered to take the exam. The exam is from 8:00 am until 11:30 am at LAHS. No classes are held that day. Following the exam, we will be holding a Career Fair at LAHS.
Picture Day--September 7
Picture day is Thursday, September 7 for my sophomore students. If you wish to order pictures, your student should have brought home a form. If you did not receive a form, you may download a form from http://www.mrsbathasclassroom.com/
