No Place for Hate
Yondr
Yondr provides a solution to issues that arise from cell phone use in schools. We understand that parents want to know where their child is in case of an emergency. We worry about that too with our own children. Yondr allows us to balance the learning needs of students with the safety needs of parents.
Students will be provided a pouch from Yondr at orientations that they can keep on them throughout the school day. All tracking apps (Life360, FindMy, etc) continue to work while the phone is in the pouch. Upon arrival, students silence their phones and secure them in the pouch, as we welcome them into the building. At dismissal, students will open the pouches and head home.
ID Cards and GO Cards
GO Cards (aka Golden Opportunity Cards) are students' "ticket to the show". All students will be given a GO Card the first week of school. GO Cards are required to participate in after-school celebrations, special PBIS incentives, ticket drawings, and lining up first for lunch. If a student forgets their GO Card, loses their GO Card, or has their GO Card taken for poor behavior choices, they will not have these opportunities until their card is returned or replaced. GO Cards are taken for a specified amount of time for violating our HERD values.
