Celebrating National School Counseling Week, Feb. 7–11, 2022
National School Counseling Week 2022, “School Counseling: Better Together,” sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), will be celebrated from Feb. 7–11, 2022, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
School counselors are actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests and talents; for working in a partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world; for focusing on positive ways to enhance students’ academic, postsecondary and social/emotional development; and working with teachers and other educators to provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic and optimistic aspirations for themselves. School counselors are certified, experienced educators with a master’s degree in school counseling. The combination of their training and experience makes them an integral part of the total educational program.

The Foundation for Lower Moreland Schools would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy new year! With the start of 2022, the Foundation for Lower Moreland Schools would like to reintroduce our mission and goals for the new year.
Who We Are:
The Foundation for Lower Moreland Schools has partnered with our Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) student-run organization at Lower Moreland High School. This partnership is expected to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in our global society through experiences and career preparation.
What We Do:
Our goal is to improve the future of public education in the Lower Moreland Township school district. The Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to improving public education in the Lower Moreland Township School District. Originally established in 2009, the foundation’s mission is to raise funds that will expand and enhance programs and technology, all for the benefit of our students and faculty. These funds continue to support innovative education opportunities that do not fall within the budget process. Teachers can apply for funds through our grant process. Individuals can also make donations to The Foundation through our gifting program.
