Ribbit Report
Turner Creek Elementary School
March 20, 2020
Hello TCE
We first want to thank Turner Creek’s faculty, staff, students, parents and guardians for your continued support and patience during this ever-changing health crisis.
Our business is children, so working to support them without seeing them is very challenging. We truly miss each and every face.
In the coming days, you will receive information and updates with multiple resources from WCPSS that can help support learning at home. The Central Services Staff has been working tirelessly to compile this resource. I’m sure you will find it helpful.
We will look forward to the day that we can all meet again together. Stay Safe!!!!
Sincerely,
Ms. Spalding
The Turner Creek Family does it AGAIN!!
Andrea Blackmon, with the help of many people from our TCE community, was able to put at least 200 bags of donated non-perishables together and bring them to the Interfaith Food Shuttle as well as a $400 donation to the shuttle! How amazing is that?!
From the Third Grade Team
Turner Creek Visual Arts
Well hello there Tree Frogs and families!
Primarily, I hope you are healthy, I wish you all well.
You all know, because I tell you all the time, that art isn’t about making pretty things. It’s about thinking creatively, exercising options, coming up with new solutions. Art is equal collaboration and isolation. Art is for self-expression, processing reflection and organization of our thoughts and feelings…and I bet you have lots of those right now. Me too.
While none of this is required, and we will get back to our projects when I see you again, I have included some activities you may want to try at home. Do what interests you, use the grade suggestions as suggestions. Create with your siblings, your families or by yourself. Think of the supply list as one option, then see what you have on hand.
Check back weekly for new activities. Our Google Classroom code is vjpcvur.
You’ve got this! ~Ms. Turco
~ Sra. Turco

Box Tops and Tyson A+ Labels
Breaking news! No more clipping!! Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out of production but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. You can still clip these and send them to school. Just download the new Box Tops mobile app. Buy Box Tops products….Scan your receipt….Earn cash for Turner Creek! A picture of the new label is pictured to the left. We’ve earned $69 via the app since it was announced in June.
Way to go Turner Creek! We earned $124 during the last Box Tops submission! The next round of Box Tops will be mailed off at the end of October 2020. Please make sure they have valid dates (dated 11/1/2020 and beyond). If the Box Top is expired, we have to throw them away! The Box Tops collection bin is in the TCE lobby across from the main office. Box Tops are each worth 10¢ and they quickly add up to real cash for our school. Here is a link showing participating Box Tops products.
Clip Tyson Project A+ labels from participating Tyson® product packages and send them to school with your child. We’ll collect the labels and send them to Tyson Foods, and Tyson Foods will send our school a check. Each label is worth 24¢!
Please drop your Tyson Project A+ labels in the Box Tops collection bin in the TCE lobby. Here is a link for a list of participating products.
