Writing Probes
CBM Writing Probe: We discussed this as a possibility for measuring writing progress. The website Intervention Central includes a clean Writing Probe Generator that you can use to measure writing progress. My suggestion would be that probes be administered at least as often as the reading assessment, but weekly is best if probes will be used to inform instruction. You will also need the Directions for Administering and Scoring CBM Probes in Writing.
