eLearning Update
S.E.L. Lessons
We are excited to share the SEL eLesson for the week of May 11, 2020, which is on naming emotions. We all have feelings, and some of us may be feeling a lot of different emotions, especially during this time of extended eLearning. Identifying or naming emotions is the first step in making good choices about how we deal with those feelings in healthy, positive ways. After you name your emotion, it is helpful to remember some of the strategies you learned this year during the SEL lessons regarding how to deal with and manage your feelings in positive ways. For example, you might need to use a breathing exercise to help you calm down, or you might want to use an “I statement” to express how you feel to another person. The SEL eLesson video for this week was produced by Mrs. Heather Bell, Youth Service Bureau Specialist at Moran Elementary. A special thank you to Mrs. Bell! If you missed previous SEL lessons during the extended eLearning time, you can find them all on PHM's website on the SEL page or at this link: https://www.phmschools.org/district-info/student-sel-video-lessons-during-extended-elearning
