Senior Updates
COVID-19 Updates for Seniors and Parents
Celebrating the end of your 13-year journey through school has been and continues to be a priority as we work through the COVID-19 pandemic. Ozark School District is committed to holding as many of our traditional events as possible, even though they may look different from what they have in the past. I appreciate the patience that so many of our students and parents have shown during this time of uncertainty.
We are still working on dates for several of our major events such as prom and graduation and hope to have that information out soon. Other important events for our Seniors include the 13-year Senior picture, the Senior Walk through the elementary schools, and Senior breakfast. We continue to monitor local, state, and federal guidelines and orders and are exploring ways we can adapt these events.
To the Seniors, it has been an honor to serve as your principal for the past 3 years. I have enjoyed every conversation, sporting event, activity, and all of your accomplishments. Only your parents and guardians can possibly have more pride than myself in watching the individuals you have become during your time at OHS. While it is not the ending any of us wanted for your high school careers, we will continue to work to give you the send off you all deserve.
April 27 and 28
Seniors can return any books, uniforms, equipment, A+ badges, etc. on April 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chromebooks and any items needed to continue coursework will not be returned until cap and gown pick-up on Tuesday, May 5.
Once items are turned in, Ozark High School will update the fines and fees by the end of the day on Friday, May 1 for each senior.
Paying your fines and fees online prior to Tuesday, May 5 will greatly expedite the cap and gown pick-up. Instructions to pay online can be found here.
Please remain in your vehicle and a staff member will come to your vehicle to retrieve the items.
JROTC, Band, and Choir return will be located in the parent pick-up lane.
All other items may be returned in the bus lane. Please enter the bus lane in Lot A.
April 27 and 28 is only for Senior item drop-off. We will provide drop-off information for sophomores and juniors as we get closer to the end of school May 22.
May 5
Seniors can pick up their caps and gowns and return Chromebooks/any outstanding items on May 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Please ensure all fines and fees are paid. Paying online prior to May 5 will expedite the process. Instructions for paying online can be found here.
Checks will be accepted on May 5 if fines and fees have not been paid online.
Enter the bus lane in lot A, remain in your vehicle, and follow traffic flow instructions.
Please remain in your vehicle and a staff member will come to your vehicle to retrieve the items.

Check the inventory sheet on your cap and gown bag prior to leaving to ensure you have everything.

We plan to have an in-person graduation ceremony in late July or early August and are currently working to finalize a date and location.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on May 9, we will air our graduation speeches and senior slideshow on City Link TV for a virtual graduation.
We are offering a drive-thru graduation option for students who are unable to attend the in-person graduation.
The drive-thru event will be on May 9 starting at noon at Ozark High School.
There will be a stage and backdrop set up in front of OHS.
Per social distancing guidelines, only one vehicle is allowed per student.
Student will get out and walk across stage. Parents can take their student’s photo with Principal Jeremy Brownfield in front of the backdrop.
If you cannot attend the in-person graduation in August, sign-up here to participate in the drive-thru event.
Early grads are unable to be added to the Canvas Class so we have a shared Google drive for you titled “Class of 2020 Seniors.” This shared drive contains the same information that is on the Canvas page. One note - you will need to be logged in with your school email to access it.
Senior Tasks - These are required. There are a couple of surveys that will help us help you. Without these surveys, we won’t know where to send your transcript, whether you plan on using A+, and whether or not you qualify for Diploma & (and get to wear a special cord at graduation). Due Monday, April 26!
Scholarship Information - Scholarships are still in Naviance, and that’s where you’ll find the applications and deadlines. But in Canvas, there is some information about what to do if you qualify for the A+ or Bright Flight Scholarships.
Parents: The Canvas page allows students to go to one place to submit the above information. It will not replace other forms of communication.
Slides are due Monday, April 26.
We are working through additional ways to highlight our seniors' accomplishments for Senior Week and will share this information once it is finalized.
