K-4 Update
What a wonderful first half of the year! Classroom guidance lessons in 4th grade have gone very well. We have focused on respectful listening and and communicating as well as strategies for increasing memory. This will continue next quarter with the addition of classroom guidance for third graders as well.
Small groups have also been successful this quarter and the new "family change" group will begin next quarter.
I am so glad to be a part of such a giving and caring community. Our food pantry and holiday wish lists have been so generously filled by the wonderful families at our school. Those receiving the food and gifts could not have been more appreciative and gracious. They have asked me to extend a huge thank you to all! Darcy
5-6 Update
The first half of the year has flown by! Teaching the TEAM elective has allowed me to work with most of the 5-6th graders (with more yet to come!). I've also worked with several wonderful small groups, and look forward to continuing group work next quarter. I'll be working with all the 5th & 6th grade teachers to incorporate classroom lessons on guidance and healthful living standards in the second half of the year.
