Borders and Power
Tiffany Suriadinata
Borders are political or natural boundaries that determine the size of a territory. Examples include the Rio Grande between Mexico and Texas, a river that determines part of the border between the United States and Mexico.
Power is a concept of the amount of control over decisions. Today it can be determined by how great and / or complex a government system is. The power in the United States government is split between local, state, and federal government, and even in the federal government the power is balanced between three branches. These governments determine the laws for the people, and are in charge of the different services they are able to recieve.
