About Me

I am from Huntsville, and attended most of the schools in HISD. I am a graduate of Huntsville High School, and a true Hornet. I attended Sam Houston State University where I received a bachelors degree in Elementary Education, with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. I guess that makes me a true Bearkat as well. I do not have any children of my own, but I do hope to be a mom some day real soon. In my free time, I enjoy watching T.V, crafting, shopping, baking, and hanging out with friends and family. This is my 9th year teaching at Samuel Houston Elementary, and I am the recipient of the 2014 HISD Innovative Technology Elementary Teacher of the Year award. It was a true honor, and there aren't enough words to express my appreciation for receiving that award.

I taught five years in kindergarten, two years in third grade, one year of first grade, and I am super excited to be going back to teaching kindergarten. I honestly have to say that my heart belongs in kindergarten, and it is my favorite grade to teach. I am really looking forward to a great year of fun and learning. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's education, please feel free to contact me.
