17 December: There will be a Sing-a-Long in the morning and then for the rest of the day grade two students will rotate from classroom to classroom visiting six of the seven grade two classrooms and doing an activity in each room. Students are asked to where pajamas as we have a Polar Express theme.

18 December: School holidays begin!!

4 January: School learning reconvenes.

Science-- The Weather Unit Continues

Our focus this week will be clouds: Last week there was fog in Doha, and this week we learned that when clouds go so low they touch the ground, they get a new name...fog. We learned that low clouds are called Stratus clouds and that in part clouds are named for their location in the sky. We are still doing weather observations. Below is a website for students to explore. I'll put it up on Edmodo too. This is a wonderful time of year to study the weather.

Polar Express

Wednesday, Dec. 17th, 8:15am-3pm

In each grade two classroom

Instead of one party, in our own classroom at the end of the day, students will rotate to six different grade two classrooms. This way students get to do six different activities and each of the grade two teachers is able to work with all of the grade two students and wish each class a happy holiday.
