Parent eNews: CMS Weekly
Friday, August 24, 2018 (Week #1)
Charlton Middle School Welcomes You...
Parents & Guardians:
Communication is the key to every successful organization. This year we will focus on a few very simple platforms: Parent eNews, Twitter, YouTube, Google Classroom and Remind. It has always been one of our top goals to keep parents aprised of all the great things happening within our school. Keeping communication platforms consistent and simple throughout our school makes it easy for parents and guardians to stay connected.
The Parent eNews will serve as our main platform to keep you informed of activities and events. Each Friday, I will send out an outline of the following week. I will attempt to keep it brief and to the point, because simple is better.
I am looking forward to another amazing year at CMS. Please remember that it takes an entire community to create great schools; we need you as a partner in the learning process. With that being said, I will be reaching out to all of you for feedback as the year progresses. Please feel free to reach out to any staff member or me if you have questions or concerns as we move into the new school year.
I cant wait to see the students and staff next week... Let the LEARNING begin.
Have a wonderful weekend...

Blessed BackPack Brigade
If a new backpack happens to be on your back to school shopping list, please consider sending in last year’s gently used one! Teams 6-1 and 6-2 will be collecting them during the first week of school to donate to a local non-profit that fills them with needed supplies and then gets the bags to those in need. Contact Ms. Hill at ahill@dcrsd.org for further details.
About the organization:
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those in need within our very own community. We work to provide guidance and support for the local homeless, elderly, disabled, veterans, unemployed, underemployed, impoverished, and beyond. From providing free fellowship meals to supplying backpacks filled with everyday essentials, we rely on donations and volunteers to continue our mission.
