Holy Cross Catholic School

From the Desk of Mrs. Wagner

November 11, 2022

Today we gathered to celebrate our Veterans in our community and the entire country. Thank you to Captain Ralph Erwin, grandfather to Joey and Jamie Erwin, for planning a wonderful program for our students to learn more about the meaning behind Veteran's Day and the opportunity to meet real-life heroes. Our students heard from Veterans and their life experiences serving our great nation. We are grateful for their service. We are home of the free because of the brave.

Thank you to Miss Koeppen's sixth-grade class that lead us in a beautiful Mass and Mrs. Smith and the Veteran's Day committee for making this a special day for our Veterans and students.

Next week will be our last week before Thanksgiving break. We are following the public school schedule this year and will have the entire week off. Due to that, we have a shortened amount of time to collect our Red Bag Gifts. All gifts will be due by Friday, November 18th. We will be wrapping the gifts in our Faith Families on Friday so the students get to practice giving is better than receiving.

Please look at the below links for opportunities to participate.

Have a great weekend and stay warm!

Seventh Grade Cell Analogies

Students learned about the organelles in science with Mr. Mana, used Canva to Design their Analogy in Science, and wrote it in ELA, with Mrs. Sells. Here is the link to the cell analogy project. Excellent job Mr. Mana, Mrs. Sells and 7th Graders.
