Curriculum Updates and Activities
Weekly Math Update
Students are learning about how to gather data and make a line plot to represent and analyze our findings. We continue to build our skills measuring in inches, feet, and yards as well as centimeters and meters.
Science Update
We have begun studying about forces & motion such as pushes, pulls, gravity, friction and magnetism. Students are doing experiments with toy cars to examine the impact of forces such as pushes, pulls, and friction.
Weekly Reading and Writing Update
We're reading series books and many of us are having conversations with partners in a book-club format. We are building our questioning skills and are noticing how characters change or handle problems.
In writing, we revisited non-fiction and are composing a book about a topic of interest to us. We're using a table of contents, illustrations, fun facts, etc.
