Hawk Happenings!
Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy
Message from the Principal - Nov. 28, 2018
Happy Wednesday!!
Can you believe that Thanksgiving is over and we are heading towards Christmas? We also have the big Financial Aid deadline coming up for Fulcrum. The last day to submit Fulcrum applications is Friday, Dec. 14th (they need to be completed with all necessary documents uploaded by this date). This is just a reminder that all parents who need ANY financial assistance from the school MUST first complete an application through the Fulcrum Foundation. It does not matter if you are approved through the Fulcrum grant, as to whether or not you will be able to get financial aid through the school, but we will only offer a negotiated contract to families who have completed the full Fulcrum application process.
So, if you pay the full tuition amount, you do not need to worry about completing this application. Phew! However, if you get ANY reduction in price (financial assistance), then you will need to submit the Fulcrum application first (by Dec. 14th). If you have ANY questions about whether you need to apply or how to do it, please contact Ms. Berenice or myself immediately and we are happy to help!! Thank you to the parents who have already completed the application with all of the documents. Also, thank you to all the families who are signed up for FACTS for online payments. All of this is a big help to us to make sure things are taken care of and running smoothly...and payments are made on time. Thank you!!
Have a wonderful week!
Blessings,
Katie Dempsey

From the Development Desk:
Annual Fund:
Please show your support with a donation to the school’s Annual Fund Appeal! We have a lofty goal as we hope to raise $100,000. Many thanks to an anonymous donor who contributed $20,000 in matching funds. This is a great time to get your donation in as the funds will be matched dollar for dollar. We need 100% participation from our families and staff to make this goal. This fund is important to our school as it helps fund curriculum, staff training, financial aid, and many other initiatives. A fee of $50 will be billed to any family who does not make a donation by January 1, 2019.
You can easily make a donation online at:https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/o5kPfZnwU-9YPZxE8gatew or you can fill out the pledge envelope and return to the office. Any questions, please email:smckinney@holyrosarybilingual.org.
Thank You!
Finally, we want to thank the families/staff who have already sent in their pledges/payments.

Fondo Anual

$100 Auction Family Commitments are due February 4, 2019!
As noted on the Financial Agreement, each Holy Rosary family is required to contribute to the annual Auction (formerly Crab Feed). We will accept donations equal to or greater than $100 in value in the form of cash or check, gift cards to local restaurants, businesses, sporting events, or places of interest. Families may also provide vouchers for goods and services such as catering, lawn maintenance, baked goods, etc. Now is a great time to get a good deal on a gift card or certificate in the amount of $100...at a discounted holiday price!! You can also re-gift those Holiday gift cards. The total value simply needs to be $100.00. Remember, if the item or payment is not received by February 4, families will be invoiced $150.
***Items are subject to procurement committee approval.***
It is important to note that we will not be accepting previously used items as part of our event; this process allows us to make better use of our resources to ensure our event is a success. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and continued support.
Many thanks to the families that have already turned in auction items. If you have an item that is large, can you please hold it until the deadline? I am in the process of determining where we can store these items. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to smckinney@holyrosarybilingual.org
