Review

Thomas Jefferson and his Unknown Brother is a good book. This book is informational and it is a collection of letters sent between Thomas Jefferson and his brother Randolph Jefferson. While reading this book you find out things about Jefferson's life that you wouldn't know just reading a biography about him. In the beginning you learn about their younger lives growing up and what they inherited once their father had died. You learn more about Randolph in the beginning than you do about Thomas. The reason being because as the title hints at his brother Randolph was unknown or not as well known as he is or was.

I picked up this book because of the title and I wanted to know more about the "unknown" brother. I think that this book is well written and it was cool to see how the brothers communicated and how they had stayed in touch over the years. It was also weird to me that Thomas Jefferson's brother wasn't well known. Although I liked this book it would be boring to people who don't like history and don't like Thomas Jefferson. I would recommend this book to people who are interested in learning more about Thomas Jefferson's life or wanting to learn about Randolph Jefferson's life.
