The Lady Trojans are ranked #1 in the first Alabama Sports Writers Association girls basketball rankings of the season. Our defending 6A state champions are 11-0. Let's go, Lady Trojans!
Bowling Victories
Both boys and girls bowling teams defeated Scottsboro last night. The girls are now 9-0 in area play. The boys move to 6-3. Way to go, Trojans!

Tennis: Tennis Tryouts are TODAY from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. at the Huntsville Tennis Center.
Donations for James & Natalie: As many of you probably know, two of our students were involved in a tragic accident during Thanksgiving Break. They will spend several months recovering in the hospital. HGHS administrators will take a donation to James and Natalie during Christmas Break. If you would like to contribute any amount of money, please give it to one of your teachers. Each teacher will be collecting money. Please continue to pray for James, Natalie, and their families.
Blood Drive: Please help spread the word about our blood drive in honor of James Boyle and Natalie Smith. There will also be a community blood drive in front of HGHS from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 16th. Please come by and donate blood!
Dance Team Fundraiser: The dance team is selling live wreaths, garlands, and centerpieces for the holidays. Thank you for supporting the dance team!
Junior Optimist: Junior Optimist Club's next meeting will be December 17th before and after school. Remember to bring your gift for the Christmas Angels service project.
HG Theatre: Theatre 1's Christmas plays will be Tuesday, December 17, at 6 p.m. in the Black Box. Admission for students is $8, and admission for adults is $10.
They are performing two shows--Twas the Opening Night Before Christmas and Ho Ho Ho! The Santa Claus Chronicles. You get to enjoy two shows for the price of one!
Band Concert: The HGHS Band Christmas Concert will be Tuesday, December 17, at 7 p.m. in the old gym.
Yearbooks: Yearbooks are currently on sale at MySchoolFees for $65. The price will increase next semester.
Yearbook Senior Ad Sales: Senior Ads are currently on sale. They will remain on sale while space is available. Click the link below for information about buying senior ads in the yearbook.
Prom Tickets: Prom tickets are currently on sale. Please see Mrs. Dean in C110 or Mrs. Bell in S134. The cost is $60 per ticket. There will be a price increase next semester.
Graduation: HGHS Graduation will now take place at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Graduation practice for seniors will be that morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Online Application for Free/Reduced Meals: Online free and reduced meal applications are available at the link below for a faster, more confidential way to apply. A new application must be completed each school year to qualify for free or reduced meals. Your child's eligibility status carries over to the new school year for the first 30 school days, allowing parents time to re-apply. Only one application per household should be submitted, and everyone living in the house must be included on the application.
