All Saints' Day
Thursday, November 1 is a Holy Day of Obligation.
It is All Saints' Day.
Students and staff will attend Mass at 9:15 am at our main church on Frankfort Parkway.
We will begin our day as typical here at school and then bus students to and from Mass. Parents, parishioners, and guests are welcome to join us at Mass just like Fridays. We will still attend our regular school Mass on Friday, November 2.
Special Guests Coming!
StMCS has been an accredited school with the Minnesota Non-Public Schools Accrediting Association (MNSAA) since 1990.
Committing to accreditation means seeking continuous improvement. As such, every seven years we do an intensive self study, conduct an extensive satisfaction survey (last winter), and gather evidence in support of benchmarks that make us a quality school. We take our findings and craft a strategic plan that will guide our actions for the next 5+ years. Upon the completion of this self-reflection, an accreditation team comes to visit.
November 7-9, we will be hosting an onsite team of 8 education professionals who represent MNSAA. The team is made up of teachers and principals from various MNSAA accredited schools and they will be here to support us in the re-accreditation process. While onsite, the team will review our internal study, interview staff, and visit with students and committee members. They will review our latest school strategic plan and offer both suggestions and commendations. The team will also seek parent feedback so you may receive a phone call or perhaps a car-side "interview" at end-of-day pick-up on Nov. 7 or 8. They will likely ask what the greatest strengths and challenges are for StMCS and what your overall satisfaction or experience is here. Please take the opportunity to help us grow and learn and be affirmed.
StMCS Candy Drive
StMCS has once again teamed up with Allina Health to take part in a Halloween candy
collection that will support both our troops overseas and our local food shelves.
