Weekly Update
Hello Foster's Finest,
We are so blessed to have the support of the Hingham community in our quest for the new school. I have never imagined I'd be a part of such a unique opportunity in my career. I want to extend a thank you to the many people who helped to make this happen. Thank you to the School Building Committee, the School Committee, the PTOs (Especially our own), who helped to get the word out, the Select Board, and the many unseen behind the scenes heroes who have helped in the last two months. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all.
Today is an exciting day for us at Foster. As I am writing this, we are preparing for our Veterans Day Assembly, sponsored by our Student Council. If you have served in the United States Military, I just want to thank you. It takes a special kind of person to be willing to sacrifice their own freedoms, so that we can have ours. The assembly will be the first time I have seen all of the whole school in one place at one time. Tomorrow is Veterans Day, so there is no school. Please instill in your children that it is not just a day off, but the meaning of the day, and why we celebrate our Veterans.
Next Wednesday, November 16 is a half-day so that we are able to conduct parent conferences. Please make sure that your children know the plan for dismissal. If you are making changes in your usual plans, please get the change to the front office on Monday or Tuesday in writing. This is helpful so we get students to where they need to be.
Have a great weekend!
Mr. Scheufele
