KARAKIA - A CHRISTMAS SEASON BLESSING.
Whenever we gaze into a crib this Christmas season
May new hope and joy flood our spirit.
Whenever we watch babies and young children playing
May a new energy for mission fill our heart.
Whenever we are tantalised by the aroma of a bbq
May we unwind, relax and enjoy time off.
Whenever the crush of family and friends overwhelms us
May the hospitality of our hearts expand.
Whenever we provide a meal or bed over the holidays
May we experience love and appreciation.
Whenever we spy our reflection in the mirror or pool
May we find ourselves to be images of God.
Whenever we put up our feet for leisure
May the humble presence of the Incarnate One companion us.
Whenever we feel our distance from each other around the world
May the Christ child draw us into unity.
We had a week of wonderful celebrations at Campion College, as we ended the 2022 school year! Congratulations to all of our prizewinners and thank you to the whānau and friends who joined us at our prize giving ceremony.
Attached below is a list of all our junior prize winners and a link to the photographs that were taken by Mr Matt King.
Alex McKay achieved Level 3 Certificate in Infrastructure, completing the Connexis Gateway programme. Awesome work, Alex!
Congratulations to Cody Anderson, this year's recipient of the BDO Gisborne Business Studies Award. The award recognises students who have achieved excellence in Business Studies or are intending to undertake a tertiary qualification in an accounting or business career pathway.
PTFA SILENT AUCTION
Congratulations to the Neems Whānau, who are the proud new owners of this beautiful chair. Our sincere thanks to the McGregor Whānau for donating the chair to the PTFA and to all those who took part in our silent auction.
On Tuesday afternoon Campion students went to Ilminister School to support a project that they had put together as part of their School centre inquiry focused on active citizenship. It was a gold coin donation and all the funds raised go to Turanga Health.
Well done to all the students who went and supported Ilminister.
Well done to Cole, Jack, Logan, Cameron, Bert and Kharn who went down to support Ilminister.
DENTAL CARE DURING HOLIDAYS
If parents are concerned about their tamariki’s oral health during the holidays, they can ring 06867 5096 for support/appointments up until 23 December. Over the Christmas and New Year break, whānau are encouraged to reach out to their family dentist or contact one of the community dentists for any urgent dental care/needs. They will be able to give advice and/or see tamariki who are in urgent need. Please see below, the list of our community dentists.
