Words from our Principal

BVM Families,

This week we are acknowledging Red Ribbon Week with spirit days and lunch activities for students. On Friday, students may wear Halloween costumes following these guidelines: Halloween Costume Guidelines Flyer.pdf

Please ask an administrator ahead of time if you are unsure about your costume choice.

Friday is also Progress Report Day. Students will be receiving their second progress report of the semester and the final one before semester grades are issued in December. Now is the time to take advantage of before and after school tutoring, AEC, Advisory tutoring and Saturday Scholars. Let's improve those grades before they are part of your permanent record! There will be a virtual Parent Progress Report Meeting Friday morning at 10:30am for any parents who have questions about how to support your student. Watch Jupiter messages for the link to join via Zoom!

The highlights below include our fall sports season. BVM performed exceptionally well in the playoffs last weekend, bringing home THREE championship banners! We are so excited and proud of this accomplishment. Next weekend are the Cross Country Championships beginning at 9am at Otay Ranch High School. Come on out and cheer on our runners!

The BVM Band will be performing at the last home game of the season for Bonita Vista High School Varsity Football. Come out and support our very own Baron Football team and support our BVM band this Friday at Southwestern College at 6:30pm.

I wish you all a safe and fun Halloween! I am happy that our students are able to enjoy some of the social and extracurricular activities that bring them, and us, so much joy!

Sincerely,

Teresa Kramer

Principal

School Highlights

Crusaders back at it again!

After 18 months of no BVM sports, we are back at it! It was a great season for BVM sports and our athletes made us proud! Go Crusaders!

Congratulations BVM Sports!

This was the first season back since before the pandemic began for middle school sports and BVM came out on a mission! Our teams took championship banners in 3 sports and 7th grade baseball, which doesn't play for a banner, defeated Eastlake in the championship game. Boys' basketball had a winning season before being defeated by Rancho del Rey in the semi-final. Girls' basketball, softball and the 8th grade baseball team all walked away with championship banners this season! We are so proud of our athletes! Excellent job and congratulations to all of you!

Bugs!

8th grade students had a chance to taste crickets as part of their Bugs! lesson. Students had fun experimenting with the different spices and flavors.

Congratulations Teachers of the Month!!

Similarly, all visitors to District facilities will be required to wear masks absent exemptions.
