What is Shaken Baby Syndrome

Shaken Baby Syndrome is a Injury caused due to shaking the baby violently. This causes internal bleeding, swelling of the brain, detached retinas causing blindness, mental retardation and death.

How to Prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome

Shaken Baby Syndrome usually happens when parents is angry due to the baby crying non-stop. Ways to help prevent the baby from crying is run a vacuum cleaner, take the baby on a walk, put the baby on the dryer while its running do not leave the baby unattended and simply hug and love the baby.

Statistics of Shaken Baby Syndrome

It's been estimated that over 1,000-3,000 children in the U.S suffer from Shaken Baby Syndrome. The average charge of the hospital bills is about $65,000
