Park Hill Stars
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy.
The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.

Habit of the Month - Find Your Voice
This month your child(ren) will be learning about Habit 8: Find Your Voice
Please read about this habit and share this habit at home.
Finding Your Voice is when you reflect about who you are and discover your talents. By using your strengths and your passions, everyone can be a leader and change the world!
1. Get to know your child and help them get to know themselves. Have your child complete an interest inventory or ask them some interview questions. After your child has thought about their interests, help them think about how they could use their passions and strengths to make the world a better place.
2. Talk with your child about their learning style and problem-solving strategies. During this season of standardized testing, students are empowered to use whatever strategies they love most to help them respond to the questions posed. Talk with your child about the opportunity to show what they know using their favorite strategies.
3. Design a service project with your child. Think about what things you and your child could do together to help others. Research how other kids are helping others to get inspired! For example, some 5th grade students held a neighborhood fundraiser to support the Park Hill Clothing Center last November.
Line Creek Elementary Communication
You will find several ways to stay up to date on school activities throughout the year on the Line Creek website, Facebook, Twitter and newsletters from your child’s teacher. You will also occasionally get an automated email or voicemail message sent to you by the school with important information and reminders. We know two-way communication is best, so please feel free to call, email, or stop by the school with any questions you may have regarding your child’s education.
