Teaching & Learning

The stretch from spring to summer has begun. I wanted to take this opportunity through the newsletter to give everyone a chance to acknowledge someone or multiple people who they feel are doing something awesome, reaching students, or inspiring others.

So often we focus on new teaching strategies, what to do to improve, to reinvent, to do better. In the face of frustration, misbehavior, and lack of student enthusiasm, teachers are the believers. They see the light at the end of the tunnel and they lead step by step—truly the greatest act of optimism. Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.YOU ARE THAT PERSON! Let’s focus today on what you do that is awesome!

Please acknowledge each other in our Google Form so we can give you the praise you deserve. Give a shoutout to a colleague who is doing awesome, who is inspiring others, whose dedication drives you. We will feature you in our upcoming newsletters.

Use this form to give a shout out!

During this time span, from spring to summer, IT will be working on chromebook return, deployment of new chromebooks for next year, projector removal and much more. The Studio Teachers and myself will be meeting to discuss and create a plan for going from UDL overview to action and we will begin looking at plans for student success for recovery.

If you are in need of STEM clock hours or other hours please check out the following:

For more options please visit: ESD 113 PD ENROLLER

If you would like an “In House” option and missed the announcement before break, here is a class I created that you can use for ONE STEM clock hour at this time.

If you choose this option please let me know once you have completed the work.

Have a great start towards the end of the year! Make it a great ending to a new year!
