Thursday, April 20th - Caps/Gowns delivered for seniors

Caps/Gowns delivered for seniors - 4th hour during lunches in the lobby of the Career Center

Junior Parent Night in Civic Hall - 6:00pm

RHS counselors want to help juniors and their parents take on planning for life after high school. Get a road map for steps to take over the summer and throughout their senior year.

Wednesday, April 26th - Band Concert

Band Concert in Civic Hall - Symphonic Band/Wind Ensemble/Jazz Ensemble - 7:30pm

Saturday, April 29th - Prom

Ticket sales will bring on April 3rd in the cafeteria during all three lunches. Tickets are $20. Any students bringing a non-RHS guest will need to pick up a guest permission form in the main office. This form must be approved by school administration before purchasing tickets.

Monday, April 17th - Academic Excellence Program - Civic Hall - 6:30pm

Seniors with a GPA of 3.7 and above honored.

Thursday, April 20th -Caps/gowns/graduation orders delivered 4th hour

Saturday, April 29 - PROM - Starr-Gennett Building - 8-11pm

Wednesday, May 17th - RHS Career Ed Awards Program - Civic Hall - 9:00am

Thursday, May 18th – Graduation practice periods 1,2,3 – do NOT wear cap/gown

4 Tickets will be given to each senior for seating of family on the main floor at graduation.

Must have a ticket to sit on Tiernan main floor at graduation

All seating upstairs in Tiernan does not require a ticket for graduation

Friday, May 19th - Senior Picture and Walk through RHS Halls - 8:45am - all seniors will wear their caps/gowns. Seniors should report to Tiernan Center at 8:15am

Friday, May 19th - Honors and Awards Senior Program - Civic Hall - 9:30am

Seniors are released for the remainder of the day after the conclusion of this program

Thursday, May 25 - Last student day

Sunday, June 4th - RHS Graduation - Tiernan Center - 2:00pm

Seniors report to the RHS cafeteria at 1:00pm

Decorating caps - get approval from Mr. Amyx or Mr. Hensley

Lost & Found

Is your student missing a jacket, notebook, lunchbox or misc. items? If so, please have the student stop by the Lost & Found area in the east corner of the cafeteria. Smaller items, such as earrings, glasses or wallets, please check with the staff in the main office. Items not claimed at the end of the school year will be donated to local needy or charitable organizations.
Students may enter RHS at Door #1 on Hub Etchison Parkway starting at 7:45am.

The Career Center Door #37 opens at 7:30am so students may going directly to the cafeteria for breakfast. The tardy bell rings at 8:15am.

Internet Options/eLearning Day Connections

A quick reminder that there are many locations across Richmond, including RHS, that offer FREE Wi-Fi!



Morrison-Reeves Library has free internet available 24 hours per day from their parking lots or around the building. Additional internet sites include Downtown Richmond, Reid Hospital, McDonald’s, Burger King, Roscoe’s, Starbucks, and McAlister’s. Also, all of the RCS school buildings.

Student Parking

Students are to park either in the student parking lot across from the Tiernan Center or on the streets around the school. All other parking lots around the school building are reserved for faculty and staff. Students parking in RHS lots that are reserved for faculty, staff, or visitors risk having their car towed from the site at the owner’s expense. If you have any questions regarding parking at RHS, contact Ms. Rae Woolpy at 973-3314.
