Announcements from the Technology Department
- If you are new to Hudson Public Schools or have a child entering grades K, 2, 5, and 9, please make sure you have completed the Device Loaner Form. To sign the document electronically, once you have reviewed the documents, please scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the Next button. You will be taken to a page that you can complete electronically.
- Hudson Public Schools provides a device to all students K-12. Students are not allowed to bring their own Chromebook or laptop to use during the school day. Students must use the device issued by the district.
- Students in grades K-4 - Devices will stay in the classroom this year.
- Students in grades 5-12 - Remember it is the child's responsibility to charge their device each day before coming to school. Children are expected to bring their device to school every day. We suggest that you set up a charging station in your home where your child's device is charged each night. We also suggest that you make sure each child's charger is labeled with their name.
- The device issued to your child is for educational purposes. Please monitor your child's activity when at home.
- Students are allowed one accidental coverage per year. Additional damage repairs are the responsibility of the family.
- The district does not cover the cost of lost chargers. If a child loses their charger, the replacement cost for a Dell 65 watt charger is $50.
The Technology Department looks forward to serving you and your child. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Say Something - School Messenger's Quick Tip
Hudson Public Schools has partnered with School Messenger to provide parents, staff, and students a process for anonymously reporting incidents or concerns. The form can be access on the district's website - Say Something Link.
Common Sense Media Resources
Common Sense Media is an excellent resource for parents and guardians. It is considered one of the nation's leading nonprofit organizations that provide movie, TV, game, podcast, and app reviews. There are also many Parent Tips and FAQs sorted by age, topic and platform. As a district, we use the free Digital Citizenship lessons.
Aspen Parent Portal Accounts
Aspen Parent Portal accounts are automatically created for new families at the beginning of the year. An email with account information is sent to a child's first contact from Aspen Help. If you have not logged into your Aspen Parent Portal account and need help with your credentials, please fill out an Incident IQ ticket. We will be happy to assist you.
Check out our Aspen videos located on the district website.
