PARENT POSITIVE SERIES - November 21st
Loving Your Kid Without Losing Your Mind - Lenape Middle School 7:00 PM Join us for an evening with licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Michael J. Bradley to learn about how the enigmatic teen brain works (and how it doesn't work), the ten commandments of parenting, and the three top ways to earn your child's respect (and the three ways to destroy it).
Dr. Bradley is licensed clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience working with adolescents. He is the award-winning author of four books including the bestselling, Yes, Your Teen Is Crazy! - Loving Your Kid Without Losing Your Mind. Dr. Bradley's down-to-earth presentations have informed and inspired audiences around the country. Babysitting is available.
Registration requested. Registration is required if you would like to receive presentation materials or if babysitting service (children ages five and over) is needed.

Babysitting Details: Babysitting is available for children age 5+ and will be provided by CB High School National Honor Society and Key Club students. Drop-off for babysitting will begin at 6:30 PM and pick-up will immediately following the program. Please share the ages of children for whom babysitting is requested.
9th grade - MBIT
If your child has expressed an interest in learning more about MBIT and would like to join us on this trip, please have them pick up a permission form in the Guidance Office. Also, please talk with your child about whether a general school tour or a specific cluster visit meets their needs and check the appropriate box. Space is limited.
THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
We will also be looking tor HELP to deliver the food collected to the food pantry. Students who participate that are in NJHS will receive 2 hours for service with this opportunity. A sign-up genius will be emailed within the next week. Food will be boxed and can be picked up in the front office on November 19th at the end of the day. All food should be picked up by 3:30PM. The delivery location will be provided on the day of pick up. Please have your student respond to NJHS mentors at Lenape if interested in this opportunity!

TOYS FOR TOTS
We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for all ages to support the Toys for Tots program. Please have your student drop off their donation to the front office in the Toys for Tots box. Thank you for your generosity
Cookie Dough Pick-up - November 8th
Cookie dough is expected to be delivered to Lenape on Friday, November 8th. If your child sold 4 or more tubs of cookie dough, we recommend that you arrange to pick up the order after school on the 8th
If your child sold 4 or fewer tubs of cookie dough, we will plan to give the box to him/her to bring home that day. An order this size should not be difficult to carry.
When you arrive at the school to pickup your child's order, please drive around the back of the building to the cafeteria. We will have the boxes arranged on the tables in the cafeteria. Pickup will be from 2:45 -4:00 PM.

2019-20 Lenape Winter Sports Registration is now open. Please click on the Family ID/Registration Tab and follow directions for Winter Sports Registration. Sports offered in the Winter - Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball and Wrestling.
November 7th - 7th/8th gr Girls Basketball Tryouts begin 2:30 - 415
November 18th - 7th/8th gr Wrestling Begins
January 13th - 7th/8th gr Boys Basketball Tryouts begin - an informational meeting will take place in mid December during Advisory.

Community Book Club
Books are $15.00 (checks payable to Lenape Middle School or cash). Please RSVP to Christy Venters at cventers@cbsd.org by Friday, November 8th. You do not need to read or purchase a book to attend, bu, as always, prizes will be awarded to the students who help us to center our conversation around the book.

Have your student drop off the order form to the Main Office and the order will be delivered to your student's 1st period teacher for 8th and 9th gr, and Resource teacher for 7th grade.
END OF 1st MARKING PERIOD
The First Marking Period ends on Wednesday, November 6th. Report cards will not be sent home. End of marking period grades will be accessible on Thursday, November 14th, @ 8:00 AM through the Parent Portal. You can print out your child's report card from the Parent Portal. Please make sure you check your child's progress in all classes. If you have any questions about your child's grades, please contact the teacher or guidance counselor. To request a copy of your child's report card, please contact guidance.
NOVEMBER BOOMERANG

BOX TOPS
Yes, Lenape collects Box Tops! Our Life Skills class uses Box Top activities to reinforce skill development. Lenape earns money for every label collected.
Please send your Box Tops to school labeled "Lenape Guidance" or drop them in the box in the lobby adjacent to the Main Office. Please don't worry about cutting the labels, tearing them off is fine.
