We will also discuss how to have conversations with young people on mental health and supporting young people in learning healthy coping skills. | Prevention Policy Day Three youth from the la center community accompanied by La Center United Board Chair Kris Soske and partner Jesse Jimenez accompanied three youth from the La Center community to attend Prevention Policy Day. They were able to meet with Representatives, share concerns around vaping, promote the Locks Save Lives campaign, and discuss enacting Nikki’s Law. | Community Connections Meeting Last month La Center united hosted a community connections meeting where groups and individuals could attend and share out information about when they meet, what services and opportunities they offer community groups and individuals, and areas of need.
