FAST Testing for all K-6 Students
It is again time for testing reading and math using our district screening process. Students in the standard model will take the tests during their on-site days.
Students in the Online Learning Program should have received information, or will be receiving information today, from your child’s teacher giving you the option to come into the school to test. Please fill out the google form, provided by the teacher, on or before January 31 to indicate your choice for where your child will test. If you do not receive a form by the end of the day today, please let your child’s teacher know.
Testing for all students will take place in February.
Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) tests are taken each year (with the exception of last year) in the Iowa City Community School District in grades 3-6.
Testing this year will take place the week of April 26-30 with makeup tests offered May 3-7 for students who were absent during the initial testing period. Students in the Online Learning Program will have the option to come into school to take the tests. Families who choose to take the tests remotely will take those the weeks of May 17-28.
More information about these tests will come out later, but I wanted you to have the dates for your calendars.
No Valentine Party Reminder
Just a reminder that we don’t celebrate holidays in the Iowa City Community School District, so we will not be having Valentine’s Day class parties or card exchanges. Our class and school celebrations will come from meeting PBIS goals.

Worried About Your Child's Internet Safety?
ICCSD is entering its fourth year of using Securly, a service that filters internet access on District devices and also includes the SecurlyHome Parent Hub, which parents can use to monitor internet usage, receive usage notifications, and establish limits on what your child can access.
You may have already received an email from Securly when your child was issued their 1:1 device. You can access Securly at https://www.securly.com/parent-login, and your login email will be the primary email address listed for your child(ren)'s contacts in PowerSchool. If you have trouble accessing Securly, please verify your primary contact email in PowerSchool or contact your child's school to do so. You can also contact Securly support if you've confirmed your email in PowerSchool and are still having trouble accessing Securly.
