FIELD DAY

Elger Bay's field day will be Friday June 16th from 12:45 to 3:00. Students will participate in a variety of minute to win it games and other gym and field challenges. We could use several parents to help set up and run the stations. Please let your child's teacher know if you can help. Remember all parents need their volunteer info turned into the district prior to helping at school.

Bikes for Books Reading Challenge

Congratulations to our Bikes for Books Reading Challenge Winners. They read their favorite books for 3 weeks and completed 5 of the activities outlined. They each won a brand new BIKE! Thanks to the Masons for this exciting donation!

All of our 52 participants will receive a certificate from our PTA for Panda Express later in the week. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Transitional Kindergarten Applications

After a successful launch of our new Transitional Kindergarten program in January 2023, we are proud to continue the program into the 2023-24 school year.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is a free, full-day early entrance kindergarten program for children who will be 4 years old as of September 1, 2023.

Students are eligible for the program if they have not had prior access to early learning experiences and/or have been identified through a screening process as being in need of additional preparation based on academic or social-emotional deficits to be successful in kindergarten in the following year.

The program will begin in October, though the applications are being accepted starting May 17 on our TK website. Classes are taught by highly qualified teachers, and transportation will be provided. Space is limited.

Our goal is to provide families with the opportunity to ensure their students begin their school careers ready for kindergarten.
