Weekly Community Updates - August 5, 2022
Dear Students and Families,
On Tuesday, we welcomed our new students and families to Oceana at New Student Orientation! It was fantastic to see Oceana filled with students and makes me look forward to the first day of school on Tuesday August 9.
In this newsletter, you can find resources to prepare for the first day of school, including a link to the first day of school schedule.
Students, please remember to test negative with the at-home COVID test on Monday 8/8 before the first day of school, and again on Thursday 8/11. Rapid tests are available at Oceana on Monday between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
I'm excited to see all of you students on Tuesday!
Take care,
Maritza Torres

Food Services
For this school year, 2022-2023, all students may get one free breakfast and one free lunch each day by providing their student ID number at the register in the cafeteria.
Some of our school funding (for example: Teacher Aides, Counseling Services, Psychologist Services) depends on families completing a free and reduced meal application, so please fill out a new online application for this new school year.
