Bennett Bear Business
Week of December 9, 2019
Dear Amazing Bennett Families,
Bennett is fortunate to have such a wonderful and supportive PTO. In January, our PTO will be hosting our next Principal's Coffee. Please take a moment to provide us with your feedback on what Parent Education topics you are interested in learning more about. We appreciate your support of our amazing school.
Proud to be a BEAR,
Amy

Important Information from Nurse Martin
Influenza (flu) can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. Flu is different from a cold. Flu usually comes on suddenly. People who have flu often feel some or all of these symptoms:
- fever* or feeling feverish/chills
- cough
- sore throat
- runny or stuffy nose
- muscle or body aches
- headaches
- fatigue (tiredness)
- some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.
*It’s important to note that not everyone with flu will have a fever.
Actions you can take to fight the flu:
Cover your cough!
Wash your hands.
Stay home when sick.
Get vaccinated.

In these last days before the break, let’s see how many good deeds our students can perform!
- All Bennett students can participate! Younger students who can’t read can still play with help from parents.
- 5 hearts across, down, or diagonal = a BINGO. The middle one is an example and should be completed to count. (It’s not a free space). *To right a wrong is to fix a mistake or poor choice. (apologizing, cleaning up a mess made, replacing what was lost, etc.)
- Please initial your student’s boxes to confirm that the deed was done.
- Students can turn in BINGO cards to their teachers or slide them under my door.
- All completed cards with confirmed good deeds will be entered into a drawing to win a Mind Jar at Holiday Live.
