Venetucci Farm Field Trips
Widefield of Dreams ~ Aiden Meacham
Aiden is a fifth grader at French Elementary and a local speed skater, both inline and ice skating. Aiden found his calling as a skater when he was pursuing hockey. He joined a learn-to- skate program and met a speed skating coach. Since then he was placed in the top three of several regional, state, and national competitions, and he is currently training for indoor regionals. Aiden said skating is important to him because it keeps him healthy and fit, it’s fun, and he gets to travel and meet people. Aiden’s dream is to skate in the Junior Olympics and when he is of age, the Olympics. He also wants to be a speed skating coach for kids when he grows up.
MILL Grand Opening
More than 200 people gathered at the grand opening of the Manufacturing Industry Learning Lab (MILL) on Thursday night. Industry partners, community members, and students gathered to take a tour and learn more about the woods manufacturing, cabinetry, and construction programs.

Team Building at Janitell
The 7/8th grade Connect Crew Leaders at Janitell Junior High hosted team building activities during the 6th grade lunch hour on Tuesday. This was a great opportunity for students to showcase their leadership skills and positive teamwork.
Webster FUNd Run ~ Rain or Shine
Badges for Books
Talbott STEAM Innovation School hosted a "Badges for Books" night this week. Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office read books to students and gave a K-9 demonstration. Parents and kids loved it!
Wolverettes to Perform at CASB Convention
The Watson Junior High Wolverettes have been chosen to perform the National Anthem for the opening general session at CASB's 77th Annual Convention at The Broadmoor on December 1. There will be over 1,000 in attendance including school board members, superintendents, principals and education experts from around the state.
Congratulations to the five member girls choir including Shanelle Olds, Ciera Bowens, Mariah Swanson, Justus Minikin, and Adeana Clemons.
AFA Basketball Players Visit Talbott
Community Day ~ District Parade
The parade went off without a hitch thanks to Morgan Melton and the WHS Student Cabinet. There was a great turnout for the Fall Festival and the Fountain Valley Scholars cookout.
The big rivalry game was exciting and the crowds in both stands were loud and proud.
The MRHS Grizzlies took the game ball trophy against Widefield Gladiators, 42-30.
Congrats to Sunrise Elementary for taking 1st Place in the float contest, their float blew up! Photog extraordinaire Landon Finch took pictures of the parade and football game.
