We had a good first week of testing. This coming week, our second graders will test Monday-Wednesday. Students who pass the test in second grade will not need to retake the test in third grade.


Please make sure your child has a good night's sleep and a fully charged Chromebook each day next week!

Picture day is Friday, March 24, 2023


Inter-State Studio will only be photographing those students who order online BEFORE picture day. This is a pre-pay program and will be the only opportunity for your student to participate in spring pictures this year. If you do not order online BEFORE picture day, your child will NOT be photographed. Online orders are accepted until 11:59 PM the night before pictures. Please direct all questions to the Inter-State Studio office at (219)662-4036. All orders are 100% satisfaction guaranteed!

Winter Weather and Recess Reminders

As the cold and snowy weather continues, please remember that we go out for recess unless the windchill is below 12 degrees. Students should be dressed for the weather to be able to be outside for 15-20 minutes.


Students will only be allowed to play in the snow if they have both snowboots and snowpants. Otherwise, they will remain on the blacktop and play there during snowy days.

Please remember that while students are taking home their devices each night in case of inclement weather, they need to make sure they bring them charged and ready to go back each day to school. Remember, during inclement weather days, we will be holding zoom classes so students MUST log on to be counted present.
